Registration Deadline Arrives

The Bar Council of India (BCI) is officially closing the application process for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XXII today. Law graduates who have yet to submit their applications must complete the process through the official BCI portal before the midnight deadline to secure their eligibility for the upcoming test.

While the primary registration window concludes today, candidates who successfully register will have an extended window until tomorrow to complete their application fee payments. The examination authority has confirmed that the payment gateway will remain operational to clear pending transactions.

Correction Window and Exam Schedule

Following the conclusion of registrations and fee submissions, the BCI will open a dedicated application correction window. This brief window allows candidates to rectify any discrepancies or update personal particulars in their submitted forms. The deadline for submitting form corrections is set for later this week.

Registered candidates will be able to download their official admit cards ahead of the main examination, which is scheduled to take place nationwide on November 29, 2026.

Eligibility and Fee Structure

To appear for the AIBE XXII, applicants must fulfill specific educational criteria set by the regulatory authority:

* Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a recognized three-year or five-year LL.B. degree from an institution approved by the Bar Council of India. * Enrollment Status: Applicants must be formally enrolled with their respective State Bar Councils. * Age Limit: There is no upper age restriction for candidates applying to appear for the AIBE.

The application fee varies by candidate category. General and OBC category applicants are required to pay an application fee of Rs 3,500, whereas candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories are charged a reduced fee of Rs 2,500.

Document Checklist

Applicants must ensure they have digital copies of all mandatory documents ready prior to filling out the form:

* Scanned passport-size photograph * Scanned signature * State Bar Council enrollment certificate * Category certificate (if applicable) * Disability certificate (if applicable)

Authorities have strongly advised applicants to complete all formalities well before the deadline, reiterating that no registration requests will be entertained once the portal closes.
