NEW DELHI — The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially announced the results for the Chartered Accountants (CA) Intermediate Examination held in September 2026. The latest data underscores the stringent evaluation criteria typical of one of the country's most prestigious professional accounting qualifications, with overall success rates varying significantly across individual modules and combined groups.

According to the official statistics compiled by our education desk, candidates who appeared for both groups simultaneously faced an intense academic test, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 13.21 per cent. Out of the 38,339 aspirants who attempted both segments, only 5,066 successfully cleared the hurdle.

Group-Wise Performance Breakdown

A closer examination of the performance metrics reveals distinct trends between the two individual groups of the intermediate examination:

* Group 1: A total of 1,00,301 candidates appeared for this module. With 23,210 students successfully passing, the pass percentage stood at 23.14 per cent. * Group 2: This segment registered a slightly lower success rate. Out of 68,400 candidates who took the examination, 12,938 cleared it, bringing the pass percentage to 18.92 per cent.

Educational analysts point out that while individual group clearances demonstrate consistent student preparation, the combined workload of tackling both groups concurrently continues to test the endurance and analytical depth of future chartered accountants.

Aspirants who appeared for the September 2026 examinations can now view and download their detailed scorecards directly through the official ICAI result portal at caresults.icai.org. To access their individual mark sheets, candidates will need to input their unique roll numbers alongside their registration credentials.
