Nationwide Demonstrations Planned

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced plans to stage nationwide protests against Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, condemning what it characterized as insulting and offensive remarks directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's family.

According to an official directive issued by the party, demonstrations will be organized on Monday across all state party headquarters in the country. The ruling party stated that the protests are a direct response to comments made by Kharge during a public address in Patna.

Escalating Political Tensions

Senior BJP leaders have strongly denounced the remarks, arguing that they crossed the boundaries of acceptable political discourse and constituted a personal attack rather than a policy critique. Leaders emphasized that targeting family members, particularly deceased individuals, sets a concerning precedent for public debate in India.

"Public life in a democracy must adhere to basic standards of decency and mutual respect," a senior party spokesperson stated, demanding an unconditional apology from the Congress President.

The party has instructed its state units to ensure the protests remain peaceful yet firm, with party workers expected to turn out in large numbers to register their resentment.

Response Awaited

As of Sunday, the Congress party has not issued an immediate clarification or formal response regarding the controversy. Political analysts predict that the nationwide demonstrations will further intensify friction between the two major national parties as political activity ramps up in the coming days.
