Bridging Technology and Agriculture

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has announced the opening of its application window for a specialized six-month Online Agritech Certificate Programme. Designed to equip professionals and learners with modern technological skills, the curriculum explores how digital platforms, data analytics, and cutting-edge innovations are rapidly transforming the agricultural sector.

Administered through the institute's Continuing Education Programme (CEP), the course is slated to run from February 28 to August 21, 2027. Prospective candidates must submit their applications by the February 23 deadline.

Flexible Online Structure with Campus Immersion

To accommodate working professionals and students, the course will be delivered entirely online. Live learning sessions are scheduled every Sunday from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, allowing participants to balance their existing commitments while gaining specialized knowledge.

Additionally, the curriculum incorporates hands-on learning experiences, a strong techno-business focus, and an exclusive opportunity for campus immersion at IIT Delhi's main facilities.

Eligibility and Admission Guidelines

Applicants are required to hold a graduate degree or diploma under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 format, or possess a recognized postgraduate qualification. Notably, the institute has clarified that no prior technical or agricultural background is mandatory, making the program accessible to a broad spectrum of learners from diverse professional journeys.

Interested candidates must pay a non-refundable, non-transferable application fee of Rs 1,180. To successfully earn the certificate of completion, participants must maintain a minimum attendance of 50% and secure at least a 50% overall score in the evaluation metrics.

Comprehensive Curriculum

The academic framework spans seven core modules coordinated by Professor Kavya Dashora, an expert specializing in the intersection of nanotechnology, sustainable food systems, and environmental sciences. The curriculum covers:
