Gurugram Women Terrified After Being Chased and Harassed by Occupants of Mahindra Scorpio
Two women in Gurugram were forced to seek shelter in a paying guest accommodation after being chased and harassed by a man and a woman in a Mahindra Scorpio.

Terrifying Ordeal Unfolds in Gurugram
Security and safety concerns in India's corporate hub, Gurugram, have once again taken center stage following a harrowing late-night incident involving two women. The victims were forced to run for their safety after being aggressively chased through multiple residential and commercial lanes by the occupants of a Mahindra Scorpio vehicle.
According to accounts shared publicly and corroborated by local law enforcement, the incident occurred late Tuesday night. The two women had stepped out for a walk following dinner around 8:45 PM. After walking through a local market, they reached a prominent shopping mall in the city to enjoy the evening weather.
The Encounter Begins Under the Guise of Seeking Help
Around 10:10 PM, the women began their walk back to their paying guest (PG) accommodation. It was during this return journey that a Mahindra Scorpio carrying a woman in her mid-20s and a man estimated to be over 45 years old pulled up beside them.
Initially, the female occupant of the vehicle engaged the victims by asking for directions, claiming she was looking to rent a luxury PG and that budget was not a constraint. Believing they were simply helping fellow citizens, the victims offered guidance and even shared a local broker's contact number.
However, the situation quickly escalated when the male passenger began asking intrusive personal questions regarding the women's hometowns, their employment in Gurugram, and how they managed their living expenses. The man allegedly boasted about his political connections and attempted to offer them jobs and financial favors.
Escalating Intimidation and Aggression
As the interaction continued, the man grew increasingly aggressive, asking the younger woman to step closer to the vehicle. When she maintained her distance, visibly unnerved by his demeanor, the man reportedly made a threatening remark implying she was being overly cautious.
The situation worsened when the man offered two Rs 500 currency notes as a "Diwali gift," claiming he had a bag full of cash in the vehicle's trunk. Upon refusing the money and attempting to leave, the situation turned hostile. The tension spiked when one of the victims addressed the older man as "uncle," prompting an angry outburst from both occupants over the term of address.
Police Investigation Underway
As the situation deteriorated, the female occupant of the vehicle feigned illness, while the man demanded the victims stay back to assist. Recognizing the imminent danger, the two women fled the spot, pursued by the vehicle through narrow lanes, before finally managing to duck into a secure paying guest facility to evade their pursuers.
Daily News 365 has learned that local authorities have taken cognizance of the incident following widespread public attention on social media. Gurugram Police officials stated that an active investigation is underway to identify the vehicle and its occupants using local CCTV footage. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
