Investigation Underway in Mindspace IT Corridor Incident
HYDERABAD — A 29-year-old software professional was found dead in her apartment located in the bustling Mindspace IT corridor of Hyderabad during the early hours of Sunday. Local law enforcement has registered a formal case and launched a comprehensive investigation to determine the exact circumstances leading up to the tragedy.
The deceased has been identified as Archana Chaudhary Malik, a native of Uttar Pradesh who was employed by a technology firm in the city's primary tech hub.
According to preliminary findings released by the local police department, the sequence of events began around 2:30 AM on Sunday. Investigators state that Malik initiated a video call with a male colleague who was out of town attending a family function with his mother. During the interaction, she allegedly threatened to end her life if he did not agree to marry her.
Police Response and Scene Assessment
Alarmed by the conversation, the colleague reportedly attempted to contact Malik repeatedly over the next few hours, but received no response. Concerned for her safety, he traveled back to her residential flat, arriving at approximately 5:30 AM, only to find the front door locked from the inside.
Local patrol units were immediately alerted and rushed to the scene. Officers forced open the door, discovering Malik dead inside the residence.
"The patrol police reached the spot and forced open the door, where they found her dead," a spokesperson for the Madhapur police division stated.
Forensic experts and a specialized clues team were dispatched to secure the premises and gather physical evidence. The mortal remains of the deceased were subsequently transferred to the Osmania General Hospital for a detailed post-mortem examination.
Detectives are currently analyzing communication logs, interviewing acquaintances, and evaluating all potential factors surrounding the relationship and the hours preceding the incident.
