Tragic Accident in Purnea

A prominent car showroom owner died under tragic circumstances on Tuesday evening after his white Fortuner SUV crashed through a roadside railing and plunged directly into a river in Bihar's Purnea district.

The victim has been identified as Bablu Biswas, a resident of Kochaili and the owner of a local Renault dealership. According to preliminary reports, Biswas was driving the vehicle when it veered off the road and broke through the protective barrier, sending the heavy SUV plummeting into the water below.

Rescue Operations and Recovery

Local authorities and emergency responders rushed to the scene following the incident. A heavy-duty crane was deployed to haul the submerged SUV out of the river as a large crowd of onlookers gathered on the nearby flyover to watch the recovery efforts.

Visuals from the site showed community members and emergency personnel guiding the crane operator to lift the badly mangled vehicle. The SUV sustained catastrophic damage to its roof and front end, bearing testament to the sheer force of the impact.

Following the extraction of the vehicle, rescue workers recovered Biswas's body from the wreckage. The mortal remains have been transferred to the Purnea Medical College Hospital, where a post-mortem examination is scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.

Investigation Underway

Law enforcement officials have cordoned off the area to gather forensic evidence. As of now, the precise sequence of events leading up to the vehicle losing control remains unclear. Police are examining potential factors, including mechanical failure, visibility issues, or driver distraction, as the investigation proceeds.
