Investigation Widens in High-Profile Attack

The Mumbai Police Crime Branch has apprehended another suspect from Sonipat, Haryana, in connection with the brazen shooting incident targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff. The latest arrest brings the total number of individuals apprehended in the case to 12.

According to senior police officials, the suspect was tracked down and detained with the crucial assistance of local law enforcement units in Haryana. Legal proceedings are currently underway to facilitate his transit to Mumbai for intensive interrogation.

The October 18 Attack

The high-security case stems from an incident on the evening of October 18, when two armed assailants ambushed and fired five rounds at Tiger Shroff's vehicle as he was exiting a football ground in Mumbai's upscale Juhu neighborhood.

While the 36-year-old 'Baaghi' actor narrowly escaped physical injury, the gunfire resulted in injuries to his vehicle's driver and an independent vlogger who happened to be present at the scene.

Gang Involvement Suspected

Investigators have revealed that operatives linked to the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang have purportedly claimed responsibility for orchestrating the targeted shooting. The Crime Branch has launched multi-state raids and coordinated sweeps to dismantle the wider conspiracy, tracing financial trails and logistic support networks operating out of neighboring states, particularly Haryana and Punjab.

Authorities have assured that further arrests are imminent as forensic evidence and interrogation leads are thoroughly processed by specialized units of the Mumbai Police.
