Comprehensive Traffic Advisory Issued for Capital

Motorists navigating the national capital on Friday, October 30, must prepare for significant vehicular restrictions and diversions as the city gears up for Punjabi pop icon Diljit Dosanjh's high-profile concert. Part of the widely anticipated Aura India Tour 2026, the mega-event at the Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Stadium is projected to draw tens of thousands of fans, prompting authorities to implement stringent crowd and traffic management protocols.

According to the official advisory released by the Delhi Traffic Police, restrictions and diversions will remain in effect from 1:00 PM through midnight. Commuters have been strongly advised to steer clear of the vicinity surrounding the stadium and incorporate extra travel time into their daily itineraries.

Affected Roads and Key Stretches

Law enforcement has identified over eleven critical road stretches expected to experience heavy congestion and slowdowns. Motorists should avoid the following thoroughfares:

* Bhishm Pitamah Marg * Lodhi Road and internal Lodhi Colony roads * Lala Lajpat Rai Marg * Arch Bishop Marg * 4th Avenue Road and 5th Avenue Road * Dayal Singh College Road * Barapullah Flyover * Surroundings of the CGO Complex

Strategic Traffic Diversions

To mitigate gridlock, traffic police have established eight primary diversion points across the area. Vehicles approaching JLN Stadium Marg via Lala Lajpat Rai Marg will be systematically redirected toward the Lodhi Flyover. Similarly, traffic attempting to access Dayal Singh College Road from Lodhi Road will encounter enforced restrictions.

At the Kushak Nallah Bus Depot Red Light, vehicles aiming for the stadium gates will be diverted either through 4th Avenue Road or directed toward INA via Aurobindo Marg. Authorities noted that further dynamic diversions may be enacted on the ground depending on real-time crowd density.

Public Transit and Parking Guidelines

Given the total absence of public parking facilities around the stadium—with limited slots reserved strictly for special invitees—authorities are strongly urging attendees to rely on the Delhi Metro.

* Violet Line Users: Commuters can utilize the JLN Stadium or Jangpura Metro stations for convenient access to Gates 13, 14, and 17. * Yellow Line Users: Attendees arriving via the Yellow Line can alight at INA or Jor Bagh, subsequently hiring local transport toward the Kushak Nallah Bus Depot Red Light to access Gates 3, 6, and 8.

Designated drop-off zones for cabs and auto-rickshaws have been established at Arch Bishop Marg, near Lal Masjid in Pragati Vihar, and the Kushak Nallah Bus Depot Red Light. Commuters seeking real-time assistance or updates are advised to utilize official helpline channels provided by the Delhi Traffic Police.
