Phase 2 of the AICTE Industry Fellowship Programme for the 2026–27 academic cycle will now accept registrations until October 31, 2026.
The nationwide initiative is structured to dismantle traditional silos between academic learning and contemporary corporate practices. By embedding industry expertise directly into educational frameworks, the program seeks to systematically equip engineering and technical students with practical, market-relevant skill sets demanded by modern employers.
Strict Eligibility Criteria for Participating Entities
To ensure high-caliber institutional participation, the regulatory body has maintained rigorous benchmarks for businesses wishing to enroll in the fellowship initiative. Qualifying organizations must satisfy the following mandatory parameters:
* Corporate Presence: Must maintain a legally registered operational office within India. * Market Longevity: Must possess an active corporate existence spanning a minimum of five operational years. * Financial Standing: Must demonstrate a robust average annual turnover of Rs 100 crore or more calculated over the preceding three financial years.
Participation is open to a wide array of business structures, including eligible proprietorships, registered partnerships, private and public limited companies, as well as major public sector undertakings (PSUs).
Streamlining the Registration Process
Corporate entities meeting the stringent financial and operational prerequisites can complete their formal registration through the dedicated official portal hosted by the council.
Education analysts note that expanding corporate participation is vital for fostering innovation-driven skill development. The fellowship initiative ultimately endeavors to prepare a future-ready workforce, capable of seamlessly transitioning from lecture halls to complex industrial environments.
