Official Release and Schedule

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is scheduled to release the admit cards for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) October 2026 session. Candidates preparing for the examination can access and download their hall tickets directly through the official examination board portal.

Following the release, applicants are strongly advised to meticulously review all printed details on their admit cards. The examination itself is scheduled to be conducted on October 31, 2026, operating in a computer-based testing format across designated centers nationwide.

Verification and Eligibility Criteria

NBEMS has emphasized that the issuance of hall tickets remains strictly tied to application completeness and eligibility verification. Candidates whose applications are found incomplete or who are declared ineligible will not receive an admit card, and their application fees will be forfeited.

Furthermore, the board clarified that possessing an admit card from a previous FMGE session does not guarantee eligibility or automatic card generation for the current examination cycle.

Examination Pattern and Guidelines

The upcoming computer-based test will comprise a single question paper featuring 300 multiple-choice questions administered in English. Each question will offer four distinct answer options. Test-takers will have the flexibility to mark questions for review—regardless of whether they have attempted them—and revisit those sections before the expiration of the allotted time.

Candidates must carry a printed hard copy of their hall ticket along with valid government-issued photo identification to their assigned test center on exam day, adhering strictly to all protocols issued by NBEMS.
