FMS Delhi MBA Admissions 2027: Key Details Announced

The Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) at the University of Delhi has officially opened applications for its prestigious two-year, full-time MBA programme for the 2027-2029 academic session. Aspiring candidates looking to secure a seat at one of India's premier business schools must submit their applications by November 25, 2026.

Admission to the coveted management programme will primarily be determined by scores secured in the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2026, academic performance at the undergraduate level, and a rigorous subsequent selection process.

Eligibility Criteria and Academic Requirements

To be eligible for the FMS Delhi MBA programme, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree obtained after completing 12 years of formal schooling. The undergraduate degree must be of a minimum duration of three years, and applicants from any academic discipline are welcome to apply.

The minimum qualifying graduation marks vary by category:

- General Category: At least 50 percent marks or an equivalent CGPA. - SC/ST Category: Passing marks in the qualifying degree examination. - OBC and PwBD Categories: At least 45 percent marks.

Additionally, students currently in their final year of undergraduate studies are eligible to apply, provided they meet the university's criteria and present their passing certificates within the stipulated deadline.

Comprehensive Selection Process and CAT Weightage

The shortlisting of candidates for further evaluation rounds depends heavily on their sectional performance in the CAT 2026 examination. FMS Delhi applies a distinct sectional weightage system for shortlisting:

- Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC): 40 percent weightage - Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR): 30 percent weightage - Quantitative Ability (QA): 30 percent weightage

Candidates who successfully clear the initial shortlisting stage will be invited to participate in subsequent selection rounds, which include a Statement of Purpose (SOP) evaluation, an extempore speech, and a personal interview.

Important Dates to Remember

Applicants must closely monitor the official examination timelines. According to schedule announcements, the CAT 2026 admit cards are slated for release on November 4, 2026. Aspirants are advised to complete their FMS Delhi registrations well ahead of the final submission deadline on November 25, 2026, to avoid any last-minute technical hurdles.
